There are many animals roaming the grounds once you are in the park such as Macaws (my favorite birds) alligators, turtles, porcupines, and more. Once we finished our drive through the lands of Lion Country Safari we enjoyed the rest of the park including lunch, putt-putt, rides, and some water games. It takes about an hour to wind through the park and you are supplied with a CD that plays while you are driving with facts about the animals and their habitats. The road trip brought us many sites from ostriches to rhinos and zebras to giraffes. However this week they were out in the open for us to enjoy. The last time I went….oh about 9 years ago we didn’t get to see the lions as they were all tucked away and hiding. You enter the park through a set of gates and for an hour you drive through the lands of Lion Country Safari and check out all the animals that call it home. Tuesday the family and I took a trip to Lion Country Safari which is in our local area. Last night my daughter and I watched Frozen and the nigh before I was able to relax and watch The Equalizer with my husband. I’ve been able to enjoy making dinner, painting my bathroom cabinets, and enjoying time with the family. It is so nice to get up each day and do your own thing. This is my favorite time of the year because with just a few vacation days taken I end up with 11 days in a row. He started his Christmas Eve while mine started Christmas Day. My husband and I have been on vacation over the holidays.
